A two-centuries-old palace converted into a hotel, WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace offers a concoction of medieval charm with modern amenities. The main portion of the two centuries-old Palace was built during the reign of the late Maharawal Jawahir Singh. This palace is a testimony to the history of Jaisalmer with different portions of the palace being built by different rulers of Jaisalmer till as late as the beginning of the twentieth century. ‘Badal Vilas’, a unique tower-like structure at Mandir Palace is the tallest structure in the town below the hill-top city fort, reminding us of the incredible historical relevance attached to both the palace as well as the city of Jaisalmer.
